The safe and reliable performance of natural gas pipelines has much to do with their careful design and operation. Still, unforeseen problems may occur and pipeline companies, including M&NP, have emergency preparedness programs in place to quickly and efficiently deal with them.
These programs must meet strict guidelines set out by the Canada Energy Regulator. Emergency preparedness programs are made up of several parts, including coordinating specific plans and procedures to respond to problems and minimize the impact to the environment and the public. Staff training and public information programs are also essential. Please click on the links below for more information.
